Different Ways to Use Glass in Your Home

Glass is one of those materials that you can use for almostanything, and make anything look stylish. It adds a modern look to any spacethat you put them in, and is sure to makeyour home a desirable place to be in.

If you’re looking for different ways to spice up your home, try incorporating glass in ways you wouldn’t typically imagine. Here are some ideas to use to put glass in your home.

Glass Tables

Glass tables are more than simply being practical, but they also help make the room look bigger and brighter than what it is. In smaller, more crowded rooms, a glass table would help keep it from feeling cluttered.

Places to put a glass table would be in a small kitchen or dining room, the entrance to the home, or small hallways that need something for storage.

Kitchen Island Extension

If you want to extend the island in your kitchen to give you more working space, but don’t want to take up too much space in the area, try usingglass then. Because of the crisp look and usually being see-through, it won’tmake the area feel cluttered or smaller.

Counter Tops

The one thing with glass is that you can get different textures of it. You can get coloured glass, ones that have ripples, cracked looking glass, and so many other options. Use glass as countertops in the kitchen for a unique look.

Storage and Shelving

Instead of going for classic wooden shelves, try using glass instead. To keep up with any modern look you may have, glass would be the best option for your storage and shelving needs.

Outdoor Railings

How often do you sit outside to look around the view, but want to have still your yard closed off? A fence is great for privacy, but if you live in an area that has an incredible view, you wouldn’t want to close that off.

Glass railings are the best of both worlds. They fence off the property all while allowing you to look out still and enjoy the view.

Glass Floors

Now, for some, glass flooring would make them uncomfortable. If you’re afraid of heights, this one maybe isn’t for you. However, installing glass flooring doesn’t make for a really cool and unique addition to your home. It’s like skylights for your floor. If you have a room below that you want toshowcase all the time, this would be one way of doing it.

Walls

Similar to the railings, if you want to add dimension to your home without closing it off too much, install glass walls instead. Glass walls allow you to still see into the other room, and keep everything flowingtogether, all why closing off rooms and adding dimension as you walk around.

Have fun using glass in your design plans. These are only a handful of ideas that would take any design plan to the next level.
